Visiting Halifax

Halifax is a vibrant city on Canada's east coast, and there's so much to see and do. Our venue is right on the waterfront. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs, museums, art galleries, theatres, and beautiful parks.

You can also take quick trips outside of Halifax to see everything else Nova Scotia has to offer.

Here are a few ideas to get you started ...

Explore Peggy's Cove. This is a must-see destination in Nova Scotia. The historic lighthouse and stunning scenery in this area are the main attractions, you can also explore a real working fishing village, and a hot bowl of chowder at the Sou'Wester Restaurant. Learn more.

Have some fun at Casino Nova Scotia. Located right on the Halifax waterfront, our casino offers slot machines, poker, Let It Ride, Baccarat, Roulette, Craps, and Blackjack. Learn more.

Expand your culinary horizons. Halifax has hundreds of amazing restaurants with the best seafood you'll ever have -- like fresh Digby scallops and Nova Scotia lobster. Here's a list of some of the best spots to dine.

View the Bluenose II. In 1963, a replica of Bluenose was built at Lunenburg using the original Bluenose plans and named Bluenose II. Built for the Olands Brewery as a promotional yacht, the replica was later acquired by the province of Nova Scotia as a sailing ambassador and continues to sail every summer based out of Lunenburg.
